As the Lead Design Editor for BU's Student Literary Journal I was tasked with designing and developing the 2020 edition of the journal. In addition to helping select the artistic works, I personally designed the layout and worked on the development of the journal during each stage of the publishing process.

For this job, I was asked to work alongside summer counselors for TRIO Upward Bound, a summer program for underprivileged high school students. The students took college level courses each day and had various group events throughout the week. I worked at the communications desk in the evenings to assist students and other staff members in the absence of their director.

As a section editor for The Voice, I collaborated with fellow
editors on a weekly basis to discuss content needs and design suggestions. I executed meetings with student writers, edited articles for the Op/Ed section, designed my section's page layout on Adobe InDesign, uploaded articles to our organization's website, and wrote articles for any section of the paper as needed.

In this position I instructed multiple classes of high school aged students in topics within the Language Arts portion of the SAT. I also spent time counseling the students about the impact their test scores may have on their college applications. Many of the students claimed that they received higher scores after taking my class.
